PARTY STORE PIZZA
Brand Identity
Party Store Pizza was founded by a group of pizza heads. They were shocked when they found out the Detroit style deep pan pizzas weren’t properly represented on the London pizza scene, and thus Party Store Pizza was born.
Detroit style pizza is characterised by its thick, light and airy dough. The dough is prepared and baked in deep rectangular aluminium trays that trace their provenience back to disused oil trays in Detroit’s auto factories. In 1946 an enterprising individual call Gus Gurrera repurposed these to cook pizza in, the style caught on and the rest is history.
Our aim was to create an identity, with a bespoke illustrative logotype and a red and white colour palette, that felt both fun and unique to help the brand stand out in the pizza industry. The result is a distinctive, playful, and eye-catching identity that reinvents the wheel for traditional ‘round pizza’ branding.
